A child with seasonal allergies, or “hay fever,” has sneezing and a stuffy or runny nose at certain times of the year from:

  • Pollens (trees, grasses, weeds)
  • Mold spores

Some children have hay fever symptoms that last all year from:

  • Insects (dust mites and cockroaches)
  • Animals (cats and dogs)
  • Mold spores

Symptoms of seasonal allergies can include:

  • Stuffy or runny nose
  • Sneezing
  • Itchy or red eyes
  • Itchy ears
  • Sore or itchy throat
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Daytime sleepiness
  • Trouble concentrating or doing school work

Conventional treatment for allergies can include nasal rinses, medications, or allergy shots.

“Dr. Sue’s comprehensive approach pieced together the pieces of the puzzle for me that I couldn’t between our pediatrician and lots of reading! The testing she did made sense and the results helped me better understand my son’s health needs.” – Carly Elia
